We hired Novak Brothers from a reference by a friend. They came out in winter and checked out the project. In Spring, they returned and gave us a very detailed, line item estimate which was lower than expected. We had a time frame to fit this project into. They were happy to accommodate us! We had a large berm inside the sidewalk at the corner of our property. We wanted it removed.
They came every day for seven days. Back hoes and trucks and trailers to take away all of the dirt and roots. Our lawn is mostly roots, due to the fact that the land was mostly forest when the house was built. Some of the root masses were as large as their trailer! These gentlemen tackled these roots with determination and a smile. They kept us appraised of the progress they were making. We were involved in every step of the process. We were never intimidated; we always felt as though our presence was welcomed. They asked us at every turn if what they were doing was what we wanted. We had two looong gutter extensions in the yard, trying to get rainwater away from the house. The guys suggested burying tubes from the downspouts to direct the water away from the house and into the yard via pop ups. It looks great!

We needed a sprinkler guy to come within ten days so that Novak could hydroseed before weeds start growing. Our sprinkler guy couldn’t do it. One of the fellas from Novak said “I got a guy”. "I've worked with Novak Brothers a few different times now and they do great work. The first was a large grading project to make sure water flowed away from my house when I bought it. What I appreciated about that project is that they were quick, but also careful. They had a lot of heavy machinery in my yard to help remove some deep tree trunks and roots before re-leveling the yard so it flowed away from the home. In using that equipment they were very conscientious to not take more of my ground cover than they needed to. In general they were polite, thoughtful, and communicative. As the project went on, their customer service inspired confidence and the results lived up. I also have a .5 acre wooded lot, and that aforementioned ground cover can make it really tough in the fall to get all the leaves out due to the sheer amount of leaves, the way they stick in the ground cover, and the landscaping considerations. They came in to help me and the lawn looked great (as did the ground cover). I recommend them for any project, big or small."

"Novak Bros were hired to construct a handicap ramp in compliance with state and city specifications and according to architectural blueprints supplied. They completed the project meeting all requirements and during construction were in continuing communication as to their scheduling and progress.
